Professional Landscape and Garden Design Qualifications
I am a professionally qualified garden designer with a distinction in Residential Landscape Design from the Oxford College of Garden Design, a course awarded SGD Educator Status by the Society of Garden Designers.
This means that the course is “committed to high standards in garden design education and teaching of best practice”. The Oxford College of Garden Design principal Duncan Heather trained under the world-renowned designer John Brookes, and the course benefits strongly from their collective wisdom.
I also hold Vectorworks Landmark Professional Certification. This is the professional qualification in the Vectorworks 3D computer aided design software package for landscape and garden design.
This professional qualification is the next step on from the Vectorworks Core Associate Certification which I also hold.
Vectorworks Landmark provides me with a suite of software tools and commands created to aid the design and development of projects using object-based parametric modelling processes. Essentially, it allows me to create your garden in virtual reality, and make changes, so you can be completely happy with it before you commit to building it in reality!
In addition to my professional qualifications in landscape and garden design, I have a first class honours degree in Philosophy, an MSc in Experimental Psychology, and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology - if you’re interested in my broader background, visit my about page!
